Endless Hearts

Today's feature is "Endless Hearts".

I started off with a A2 basic white cardstock card at 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".  The patterned paper was cut at 5 1/4" x 3" and the red cardstock was cut at 5 1/4" x 3".  I over laid them.

I used my EK success punch and choose the design above and cut it out of black cardstock.  The final measurement after using the punch should be 1" x 5 1/4".  On the upper part of the black cardstock, I wrapped black glittered ribbon from Celebrate It.  Then attached everything with my ATG gun onto the base card.

Then from Joann's, I found a big bag of an assortment of heart shaped buttons.  I choose several different sizes and arranged them on the card by gluing them down with some Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive Glue.  Then I needed to cover the holes, so I glued rhinestones down.  They too are different sizes.

Sorry for this picture being blurry.  I'm not sure what happened.  But anyway, I stamped "Happy Valentine's Day with white ink using my Studio G stamp.

Finally, for the inside, I layered black cardstock (5 1/4" x 4"), patterned paper (5" x 3 3/4"), and  white cardstock (4 1/4" x 3") and adhered everything to the inside of the card.  Then I stamped "LOVE YOU" from Hampton Art in red colorbox ink.

Trio Hearts

Hi Scrappers!!!

It's been a very busy week.  Our temperatures here have been extremely cold (-9).  Then our youngest daughter received that nasty flu.  So we had her home from school for a few days.  We were very glad that she never received the high fever that others are getting with this flu.  But for now, she is feeling much better.  Now let's hope no one else in the house gets it.

But with all said, let's get on with today's card.  I'm calling it the trio card because of the three hearts.  So let's take a look:

Card Recipe:
Brown cardstock (4 1/4" x 5 1/2")
Pink cardstock (4" x 5 1/4")
Brown cardstock (3 3/4" x 5"), embossed with Sizzix folder
Cricut Cartridge:
George & Basic Shapes - Page 119 <heart1> at 1 1/4"
Cut this heart three times out of pink cardstock.  Then I embossed each one separately with different folders.  Two from Sizzix and one from Cuttlebug.  All folders dealt with hearts (refer to picture above).  I finished each heart by inking around the heart with Tim Holtz "Tea Dye" distress ink and foam taping each heart to the card.
Pink cardstock (1" x 4 1/4"), inked with Tim Holtz "Tea Dye" distressed ink
White cardstock (3/4" x 4 1/4"), inked with Tim Holtz "Tea Dye" distressed ink
Stamp "True Love" from Studio G with Dew Drop Brilliance "Pearl Crimson"
Finally, I added three pearls from Recollection and glued them down with Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive glue.

DL Art - Linky Party "Anything Goes" January
My Craft Spot - Anything Goes

Valentine Teddy Bear

Happy Sunday!!!

What a crazy weekend it has been.  It has been snowing here since Friday afternoon.  Our temperatures have not even reached the double digits.  So needless to say, I've been hibernating in my craft room.

Well, since we are only a month away from Valentine's Day, I thought I would get a head start (like everyone else (ha,ha)) and start sharing some cards.  Today's feature is "Valentine Teddy Bear".

Card Recipe:
Pink cardstock (4 1/4" x 5 1/2")
White cardstock (4" x 5 1/4")
Patterned Paper (Walmart - Studio G) (3 7/8" x 5 1/8")
DCWV Shimmer cardstock (3 1/4" x 4 1/2")
Image Recipe:
Teddy Bear Parade - Teddy Bear at 3 1/2"
Valentine images (1 row; 4th button) at 3 1/2"
I inked hot pink around the wings and outfit.  I used DCWV Red shimmer cardstock for the hearts, bow and arrow.  I even cut out additional heart using my gypsy.  I also inked around the ears, mouth, and belly with Tim Holtz "Tea Dye" distressed ink.  I double foam taped the teddy bear before adding it to the white cardstock
Then I wrapped hot pink floss from We R Memory Keepers around the white cardstock before adhering to the main card.
Challenges I've entered into:
DL Art - January Linky Party "Anything Goes"
Inspire Me Friday - Anything Goes
Melody Lane Designs - Teddy Bear Contest
 Craft Room  - Valentines
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and stayed more.  I think I'm going to curl up with a blanket and a cup of apple cider now.  Thanks for stopping by and visiting.
