Cauldron Candy Holder #48168

Wow!!!  Can you believe how much candy fit inside?

This project was so easy.  I used purple for the cauldron, sparkly green (DCWV) for the goo, and orange for the word.

Next year I'll have to give these out......  Hope everyone had a safe Halloween!

Witch Boot Treat Bag

Today I wanted to share another treat bag with you.  This time it's a witch boot.  I didn't fill it with candy because knowing my luck I would eat it all.  So to play it safe, I crimped a few strips of purple card stock and had them rest inside the boot.

I'm A Winner

Just wanted to thank Rhonda over at Decorate to Celebrate for choosing me as their winner for the Witch's Brew (Halloween Party - Part 1) challenge.  After receiving notification, I immediately contacted my Daughter and Granddaughter.  I wanted to let them know that their Kitty Cat Treat Bag had won a challenge.

Here is a picture of their reaction:

I think they were more excited then me.  I can't wait to receive this mini album.  So I can fill it up with my Granddaughter's first Halloween pictures.

Thanks again for picking me.  Have a wonderful Friday y'all!!!

Trick or Treat Cat Bag

Wow!!!  I'm simply falling behind this weekend.  It's been exciting around here. Our local hockey team (ICEDOGS - AWHL) had there first two home games this weekend.  We had one loss and our second game was a win in double over-time. First home win in two seasons.  Way to go guys!!!

Then yesterday we had a BBQ for them.  That of course lasted a couple of hours.

Then I had a date night with my husband.  We went to see Captain Phillips.  It was a little slow in the beginning, but by the end I had a few tears.  Overall great movie and I highly recommend going to see it.

Now, let's get into the real reason why we are visiting my blog.  Today's project is not a card.  Can you believe that?  It's a cat treat bag.  So let's take a look.

We had such a great time yesterday at the parade.  We were simply overwhelmed with the amount of people that showed up.  Enough that we ran out of candy.  So half way through the parade, we bought more candy from a local store on the parade route.  Good job guys!!!!

Today's card is another simple card.  So let's take a look........  Its even an action wobble.

Black cardstock - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Yellow cardstock - 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
Purple cardstock - 4" x 5 1/4"
Patterned Paper - 3 3/4" x 5"

Yellow cardstock - 3/4", cut down to size after stamping sentiment and cutting out notches.  Foam tape edges and make sure to create a wave look to it.  Glue on purple rhinestones.

Wrap around green/white twine around two layers before adhering all to card.

Bump in the Night Cricut Lite Cartridge (Farst) at 4 1/4" along with all layers.  At the end I decided to add a googly eye.  Then I decided to make my own action wobble and attach him to main card.

I wish I knew how to post him while being in action.  He/she is simply cute.

It's the Great Pumpkin.....

Hope everyone has had a great weekend so far.  I can't believe that we are a month away from Halloween.  With that in mind, today's feature is the great pumpkin. Hope you enjoy it.

As you can see there really was not much to it.  I found this cut on my Wild Card cartridge and thought it would be perfect to end this month.  I cut the card at 5 1/2" in orange cardstock.  The green layers were also cut at 5 1/2".  I inked the grass and stem with Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Peeled Paint".  The pumpkin was inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Tea Dye.  After putting everything together, I decided to shorten the main card and make it an even 5" x 5".  Then I decided to cut two (2) pieces of black cardstock at 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" and attach to the front and inside of the card.  This way the face of the pumpkin really shined.

As always thanks for stopping by and for you "New Followers" thank you for joining.  Your comments are greatly appreciated and I really enjoy reading every one of them.

It's hockey time......

In celebration of hockey, which will be starting up here real soon.  I would like to share with you a card I made for our coach.  Unfortunately, he will not be returning as this years coach.  However, we do wish him the very best with his new team in New Mexico.  Congratulations, Harry!!!   We will miss you.

Black cardstock - 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Red cardstock - 5 1/4" x 4"
White cardstock 4 1/4" x 4"

I used my gypsy to cut out the following images:

Create A Critter (maple leaf) - 3.14" x 3.50"
Everyday Paper Doll Dress Up (hockey sticks) - 1.98" x 6.50", angle .29"

Everyday Paper Doll Dress Up (puck) - 2.74" x 9.00"

The tape was made by scratch.  I cut three 1" strips out of cream cardstock.

"Coach" was computer generated and stamped out using EK tools "photo labels".

As you can see in all the photos there was a lot of inking.

As always, thanks for stopping by and sharing your comments with me.

Fall is in the Air

Wow!!!  How quickly we went from 80* degree temperatures to having snow in our backyards.  Don't get me wrong, I love having the snow.  But can't we just enjoy Fall/Autumn first.

I apologize for not posting last weekend.  My hands seemed to be a little tied up with our Granddaughter.  With the snow arriving early on the roads, it's going to get harder to visit with her.  So we've been trying to spend as much time with her as possible.

With all said, here is today's feature.

Orange cardstock (DCWV Fall stack) - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
White cardstock - 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
Yellow cardstock (DCWV Fall stack) - 4" x 5 1/4"
White cardstock - 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Green cardstock (DCWV Fall stack) - 3 3/4" x 5"
White cardstock - 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"

I cut my basket out of the doodlecharms cricut cartridge at 2".  I added brown brads to the basket and used my black zig pen to outline.  I then cut all my leaves out from the same cartridge at 1".  I inked each leaf with Tim Holtz "Tea Dye" ink and layered them to back of the basket.  I adhered the basket to card with foam tape.  Adhered some of the leaves to the front of the basket with the same foam tape.  I punched the bottom of the white cardstock with an EK punch.  This same punch was used for the inside of the card (see below).  Orange ribbon was wrapped around some of the layered cardstock before adhering all to the main card.  Finally, I used some glitter glue to add dots to the upper corners.

I left the inside blank, so I can stamp my sentiment later.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend.

Big Bang Theory!!!

Since my husband is a Big Bang Theory fan.  I decided to share this shape card with you in honor of their new season starting September 26, 2013.

This is from the Wild Card 2 cut at 4.5" with it's layers.  All the edges are inked and it is layered together with foam tape.

I used some twine and a computer generated sentiment.  The tag was made from scratch.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Something Tweet

Recently I've needed a few Anniversary cards and this one just fit that special occasion.

Green cardstock - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Brown cardstock - 4" x 5 1/4"
Blue cardstock - 3 3/4" x 5"
Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge - 4"

Brown cardstock (tree) 3 3/4" x 1 1/2" embossed with Tim Holtz "woodgrain" folder

Embossed the basket with The Paper Studio "Mesh Texture" folder

The leaves were inked with green and then I ran my stylus down the middle to give it some dimension.

For the birds, each was inked up in there own color.  I added light pink to their cheeks by using the end of a #2 pencil eraser.  Black Zig pen was used for the eyes.

For the top hat, I used a white gel pen and stitched around it.  I made a bow out of pink twine and glued a rhinestone in the middle.  For the heart I used DCWV the immortal love cardstock stack.

Thanks for stopping by!
